Our 2016 annual New Zealand Wilding Conifer Management Group meeting will be held on the 27th of April 2016 in the Memorial Hall in Queenstown.
This will be followed by a field-trip on the 28th of April to Mid Dome.
The meeting will be filled with reports and news across the country and presentations on new and future research that will help to better manage wilding conifer infestations in New Zealand.
The field trip to Mid Dome will allow attendees to learn more about a rather large and long running wilding conifer management programme that has been dealing with wildings and the original legacy plantings (to stop soil erosion) for a decade.
A detailed programme will be circulated end of March/start of April, but please indicate your interest in attending this meeting and/or the field trip as soon as possible by sending a response to Thomas Paul (Researcher at Scion, Rotorua Phone 07 343 5653). Also if you plan to attend the field trip please let Thomas know if you can provide transport on that day (4WD required).
All the Best and we looking forward to discuss all aspects of wilding conifer management with you
