Objective 2 of the SFF wilding project, run by the South Island Wilding Control Management Group, dealt with wilding control.  One of the major outputs was a ready-reference wilding control manual, aimed at enabling farmers and land managers to choose the control techniques best suited to their circumstances.  This manual covering fifteen different control methods, is now published.  Due to the need to keep it simple, there was not room to include some of the finer detail of technique (such as herbicide mixes).  In such cases, readers are advised to refer to this website – and we are in the process of getting this additional detail presented.  The Manual can be seen on this website (click here), but it is most readily read in hard form.  Copies are available from Nick Ledgard at Scion, Christchurch (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), and are free of charge.  BUT, please ask only for what you really need, as publication has not been cheap, and we are restricted in the numbers we can send out.
